Transportation at Bangkok International Airport

Taxi Stand: In front of the Arrival Halls International & Domestic Passenger Terminals
Fare: Based on meter plus Baht 50 surcharge. The fare between the Airport and Central Bangkok is approximately 300 Baht. Notice that taxis do not give receipts, and will only accept Thai Baht.

Airport Bus
Air-conditioned airport bus service operate between Bangkok International Airport (BIA) and downtown for 4 main routes. Fare is only 100 Bath per person throughout one single journey. This service is arranged by Airports Authority of Thailand co-operates with The Department of Land Transport & Bangkok Mass Transit Authority to offer more convenient to all air passengers. In addition, it will indirectly relieve traffic jam and implement our travel industry promotion. Four main routes on service consist of

Route A1 (South): BIA – Silom
Route A2 (West): BIA – Sanam Luang
(Grand Palace)
Route A3 (East): BIA – Prakanong
Route A4: BIA – Bangkok Railway Station
(Hua Lumpong)

Place to get in & take off during the way to each destination will be listed after. To identify the bus, please refer the light box over the front windshield that will have ”AIRPORT BUS” shown on. At the passenger’s sight of bus body (left side), it will again place the name ”AIRPORT BUS” including with route’s information by clear & outstanding colors. On each of their own bus stop on the way throughout the routes, it will locate stop signs identified by ”BUS STOP AIRPORT BUS” with attractive color on white plastic board for passengers to notice. All chauffeurs and bus hostesses in the service project were passed basic English speaking & passenger service training course to be ready to serve.

All passengers will get on the bus at BIA’s on the platform in front of the arrival hall at terminal 1 and at where ”BUS STOP AIRPORT BUS” located. Here below are listed of landmarks where the bus will stop.

Route A1: BIA – Silom
Inbound – Airport, Century Hotel, opposite Indra Hotel, Anoma Hotel, Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, Regent Hotel, Dusit Thani and opposite Lerd Sin Hospital is downtown terminal (destination)
Outbound – Narai Hotel, opposite Regent Hotel (Police Hospital), World Trade Center, Indra Hotel, opposite Century Hotel, Airport (destination).

Route A2 : BIA – Sanam Luang (Grand Palace)
Inbound – Airport, Victory Monument (Ponglee Restaurant), Siam City Hotel Soi Kink Petch, Petchburi Rd., Sapan Kao, opposite Majestic Hotel, Larnluang, Democracy Monument, Ratchadamnoen Klang, Tanao, Khaosan Rd., Rattanakosin Hotel and Sanam Luang is downtown terminal (destination)
Outbound – Sanamluang, Soldier Monument, Phrapinklao Bridge, Phra Arthit Rd., Phra Sumen Rd., Banglampoo (Bavornnives Temple), Majestic Hotel, Royal Princess Hotel, Democracy Monument, Rajdamnoen Rd., Larnluang, Victory Munument, Airport (destination).

Route A3 : BIA Prakanong (Sukhimvit)
Inbound – Airport, Ambassador Hotel, Delta Grand Pacific Hotel, Ban Chang Glas Haus, Novotel Building, opposite the Ekamai Eastern Bus terminal and Prakanong is downtown terminal (destination).
Outbound – The Ekamai Eastern Bus terminal, Benjasiridij Park, opposite Ban Chang Glas Haus, Sheraton Hotel, opposite Ambassador Hotel, Land Mark Hotel, Airport (destination).

Route A4 : BIA – Bangkok Railway Station (Hua Lumpong)
Inbound – Airport, Ploenchit Rd., Siam Inter-Continental Hotel, Siam Center, Siam Square, Phayathai Rd., Maboonkrong Shopping Center, Rama IV Rd., Mandarin Hotel, Bangkok Centre Hotel, Wongwien 22, Hua Lumpong Railway Station (destination)
Outbound – Hua Lumpong Railway Station, Rama IV Rd., Phayathai Rd., Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Maboonkrong Shopping Center, Siam Inter-Continental Hotel, Airport (Destination)

Airport Shuttle Bus
There will be air-conditioned airport shuttle bus service operate within Bangkok International Airport (BIA) for 2 main routes for free of charge. Two main routes on service consist of

Route A1: Starting from 05.20 a.m. – 23.00 p.m. daily every 15 minutes
Bus stop: Platfrom in front of the Arrival Hall at Terminal 1&2 and Domestic Terminal
Internatinal Passenger Terminal 1 – International Passenger Terminal 2 – Domestic Terminal – Cargo Agent 1 Building – VIP Rooms Building – International Passenger Terminal 1

Route A2: Starting from 06.00 a.m. – 17.00 p.m. Mon-Fri every hour
Bus Stop: Platform in front of the Arrival Hall at Terminal 1& 2 and Domestic Terminal
International Passenger Terminal 1 – International Passenger Terminal 2 – Domestic Terminal – Customs Bureau Building – 4 Storey Car Park Building – Cargo Agent 4 Building – Office of AAT Storage Division – VIP Rooms Building – International Passenger Terminal 1.

Car Park
A7 – storey parking building provides 35,202 sqms. of space to serve 1356 cars.
The International Passenger Terminal provides parking for over 852 cars at the basement and on the ground and 2nd floor level of BIA Office Building.
Furthermore, the car park at the Domestic Passenger Terminal can accommodate another 615 cars.

Train Service
Don Muang Railway Station is about 500 metres across from BIA and provides service to the city e.g. Hua Lumpong Railway Station where connections can be made to all parts of the country. Trains at Don Muang Railway Station run at 06.06 a.m. to 20.07 p.m. The fare to Bangkok with Ordinary Diesel Train is Baht 5/person.
