Abstracts On-site
During the Conference there will be a function available on this website where you can search the program by abstract content or by day and time. You can compose your own personal program or itinerary and print a copy. This can be done from the web café in the venue.

Badges and Delegate Kits
Registration identification badges are required for admission to all sessions, official functions, social events and exhibitions. Delegates who lose their badge must re-register using their confirmation letter and a photo identification. A USD 50 fee will be charged to replace the lost badge.

Banking
Banking facilities will be provided on-site to allow convenient changing of cash and traveller’s cheques and provide a full range of banking services.

Business Centre
The business centre will provide computer, e-mail, fax, photocopying and telephone services for Delegate on a pay-per-use basis.

Childcare Centre
The organisers plan to provide free childcare. Please indicate your requirements on the Registration Form, as early registration is essential.

First Aid Stations
An emergency medical facility will be available to all Conference Delegates.

Hotel Desk
A desk will be conveniently situated in the Registration Area at IMPACT.

Social Tours and Transportation Desk
A desk will be conveniently situated in the Registration Area at IMPACT.

Information Desks
Information desks at IMPACT will provide multilingual services for any inquiries about all aspects of the Conference.

Lounge for Delegates Living with HIV/AIDS
The people living with HIV/AIDS (PHA) lounge is designed to be a place of rest and support where PHAs can find relief from the stress of the hectic Conference experience. For many Delegate, the PHA lounge can be the most valuable aspect of the Conference experience, providing opportunities to meet and talk with PHAs from across the globe in a calm and nurturing environment. The lounge will provide complementary light meals, spaces for informal meetings, relaxation, Thai massage, and private facilities for taking medication.

Meals and Snacks
Many luncheon and fast-food outlets are located at IMPACT. These food outlets are open all day and offer a wide range of options from inexpensive snacks to leisure dining.

Media Centre
Located in the Exhibition Centre, the media centre will serve the needs of journalists covering the Conference. Services provided to registered journalists will include computer workstations, printers, telephones and modem connections.
Rooms will also be available for interviews and third-party press conferences.

On-site Check-In Procedures
Each regular delegate of the XV International AIDS Conference must personally check in at the appropriate registration desk to pick up a Conference kit and badge before attending any Conference sessions or events. Delegates, exhibitors and media are asked to check in at the desk in the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Please keep your confirmation letter containing your registration number with you at all times.

On-Site Publications
The Final Program, Abstracts on CD-ROM or the Abstract Book, will be given to Delegate on-site.

Safety and Security
There will be permanent 24-hour security staffing at the IMPACT during the Conference. A co-ordinated security plan is being put together to ensure the safety of the Delegate.

Service for People with Disabilities
Please indicate all special requirements on the Registration and Accommodation Form to allow us to best serve you. IMPACT has international standard facilities for the physically challenged, including access ramps, elevators and toilets for people in wheelchairs.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted in the Conference venue, except in designated smoking areas, which are clearly marked.

Simultaneous Interpretation
English is the official language of the Conference. However, simultaneous interpretation into French, Spanish and Thai will be available for the Plenary sessions and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Speaker Service Centre
Speakers and Session Chairs must report to the Speaker Service Centre one day prior to their session to deposit their presentations and confirm attendance. Equipment for PowerPoint presentations will be available, as this form of presentation is recommended.

Transportation
The Conference Organisers are providing free transportation between all Official Hotels and IMPACT on Monday 12th to Thursday 15th July 2004. On Sunday 11th and Friday 16th July, coaches depart from Central Pick-up Points in each zone, as indicated on the hotel list in the Transportation Schedule below. All registered delegates can take advantage of the free transportation provided by the Conference Organiser.
